Thông qua Express Entry, những Lao động tay nghề liên bang với 347 việc làm đáp ứng yêu cầu tối thiểu để ứng cử, nộp hồ sơ vào Express Entry pool.
Hồ sơ của các ứng viên được xếp hạng dưới hệ thống Comprehensive Ranking System. Những ứng viên xếp hạng cao nhất sẽ được cân nhắc để mời nộp hồ sơ làm thường trú nhân. Những ứng viên nhận được lời mời sẽ nộp hồ sơ đầy đủ trong vòng 90 ngày.
Những ứng viên nộp hồ sơ theo diện Tay nghề liên bang là những người có trình độ học vấn phù hợp, kinh nghiệm làm việc, tuổi và khả năng ngôn ngữ (tiếng Anh hoặc tiếng Pháp) và được lựa chọn qua hệ thống định cư Express Entry để nộp hồ sơ làm thường trú nhân.
Để đáp ứng yêu cầu đầu vào cho Express Entry Pool với tư cách là một Lao động tay nghề liên bang, các ứng viên cần đáp ứng các điều kiện dưới đây:
1. Có kinh nghiệm làm việc toàn thời gian không gián đoạn hoặc bán thời gian tương đương trong vòng 10 năm qua, với việc làm nằm trong danh sách 347 nghề nghiệp trong danh sách National Occupational Classification.
2. Công việc phải được phân loại thuộc Skill Type 0 (Công việc quản lí), Skill Type A (Công việc chuyên nghiệp), hoặc Skill Type B (Công việc kĩ thuật và chuyên môn) trong danh sách National Occupational Classification.
3. Ứng viên phải đạt tối thiểu 67 điểm trong 6 yếu tố lựa chọn của hệ thống xét điểm
4. Làm bài kiểm tra trình độ ngôn ngữ và thể hiện trình độ ngôn ngữ tiếng Anh hoặc tiếng Pháp tương đương với Canadian Language Benchmark trên 7
5. Sở hữu nguồn tài chính ổn định
6. Thông qua kiểm tra sức khỏe và bối cảnh (security background)
